Pigeoncote bookstore Pigeon Debut Magazine 2006 to ending of Publication


The Pigeon Debut essentially replaced the American Pigeon Journal (APJ), which had been America's premier pigeon magazine, dating back to 1913 when it was still called the Pacific Squab Journal. The two publications essentially overlapped only a couple of months until April of 1993. Although the APJ did publish one more issue on April of 1994. The Pigeon Debut's first issue was November of 1992. Yet as you can see, it called itself the Pigeon Digest for the first two issues. changing the name to the Pigeon Debut for the January issue of 1993 It retained that name throughout the rest of it's publication. The Debut continued in regular publication more than 14 years until it's last publication on February of 2006. By then the Purebred Pigeon magazine had been in publication for over 2 years, and which is still in publication today		The Indexes are available for viewing on line on a per issue basis as image files. These images files are combined each calendar year into a yearly index as a text searchable PDF file. This file can be viewed on line as well as downloaded to your device where they can be searched for any word or particular phrase. Most available pdf viewers have this search function built in. This capability is a great help in locating particular topic or author. Each yearly index is then combined into a full index for all of the Debut's issues. It is a rather large file. Pigeon Debut 2006		The Pigeon Debut replaced the American Pigeon Journal (APJ) which was the longest standing of any publication about the pigeon hobby. The debut, while bringing some new style to the hobby, also was to be replaced in 2006 by the Purebred Pigeon Magazine, which offered full color and proved to popular for the Debut.
